Community Care Access Centres (CCACs) are publicly funded healthcare agencies dedicated to enhancing the health, quality of life and independence of individuals in our communities by offering a single point of access to home and community services. CCACs assist clients in making informed choices about health care options and work in partnership with clients and care providers including hospitals, community support agencies, LTC homes and others to ensure that the right care is available at the right time and place.
In this key management role, the Manager of Information Technology is responsible for overseeing the South West CCAC’s data centre, technical and end-user support and Service Desk within a geographically dispersed area. Specifically, you will: manage the infrastructure support team’s responses to e-data processing production requests and service outages; monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, production processes, internal projects, and infrastructure change management; ensure data security and integrity measures are effectively in place; oversee technical and planning aspects of IT infrastructure; and provide technical and architectural expertise for deployed systems and develop architectural plans for IT initiatives. Additionally, this role will review proposals and provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to staff across several locations.
The successful candidate will have: a university degree or college diploma in a related field and/or equivalent experience; experience in a managerial capacity overseeing information technology in geographically distributed environment; experience in information technology support particularly in a support desk environment; knowledge of LAN/WAN and IP technologies, network servers and a range of automation software; good knowledge of information management systems, technology and software; knowledge of data security requirements and respective legislation; strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information to a non-technical audience; strong project management skills; and knowledge of both the South West CCAC and the evolving role of the CCACS and the impact on facility requirements.
This position is located in London, Ontario with extensive travel throughout the South West.
